Wind and Water

Waiting on the mountain, for you to come
the wind and the water fall down
in the forest weeping, the trees hear no sound

along the shoreline, walking,  the ocean surrounds
still the wind and the water fall down
deep inside the grotto, I cannot be found
and the wind and water still fall, fall down

sunlight or midnight, I am still right here

I'll sleep tonight and hopefully I'll see my love once more
and waking joyfully, I'll be cast down and out the door
for in dreams I live, in day I die, my life is spent for her
a wizened life that's mine to lead of things that never were
will the sun come out on a rainy day, clouds overhead won't surrender

I was there, you took me in
My own mistakes, they made you win

When I closed the door, I was gasping for breath
living for the moment though I know nothing's left
of me, I have broken myself like ripping out a page from the book on the top shelf
is there anyone that can make me whole, pull my dead body up outta this hole
a grave, a casket of lies. hiding from myself you can't see the disguise
though the skies are on fire no surprise from my lies I set alight
all the pain that from myself I conspired. No escape from the place that was frozen in time
it's all mine draw the line in the sand with your hand
take a stand make a plan be a man get it right
because the end of the world is coming tonight
if you don't want to stay then don't go towards the light
but this internal struggle is gonna red up the white
