it is time

My friend, it is time that the mourning bells chime
Tolling in blue, from morning through night
Waking from dreams seeing seas beyond reach
While elusive, she hides on the shadowy beach

Abruptly erupting from the death and destruction
Rose up from the ashes a figure so close
A flash of an image of one once worth knowing
Flashback to black with a past now so cold

Amnesia wraps its arms around and gives me such a hug
An iron maiden memory that traps all hope inside
Sharpened lies that pierce the flesh produce this pain I feel
Nothing will remain if I'm to fall again to hell
